Cyprus drew with Latvia in a friendly match
The Cyprus national football team drew with Latvia in a home friendly match. Temur Ketsbaia's team missed out on victory right at the end of the match.
The Cyprus national team was closer to victory. The Cypriots opened the scoring in the first half. Ioannis Pittas scored in the 34th minute. The Cypriots led for almost the entire match, but five minutes before the end of regular time, Andrejs Cigaņiks equalized. The friendly match ended in a draw with a score of 1-1.
Recall that the match took place yesterday evening at the “AEK Arena” in Larnaca in anticipation of the start of the participation of the national teams of both countries in the upcoming Nations League, which will begin in September. Admission to the stadium was free.
