Cyprus Airline Joins IATA

Tus Airways, the Cypriot airline, announced on Tuesday that it has become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

As a result of Tus Airways' membership in IATA, passengers of the airline will now benefit from enhanced safety standards, integration of the airline into IATA's operational frameworks and procedures, and smoother transfers due to participation in the global network.

According to the airline's CEO, Ahmed Ali, membership in the association underscores the airline's commitment to providing passengers with the highest safety, efficiency, and customer service standards.

"By joining IATA, we reinforce our commitment to operational excellence and contribute to the global aviation community," said the head of Tus Airways.

Rafael Schwartzman, IATA's Regional Vice President for Europe, also expressed delight at Tus Airways' membership, stating that it "contributes to Cyprus' air connectivity, which is crucial for the island nation."

Tus Airways is based in Larnaca and operates flights from Cyprus to destinations in France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Slovakia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is an international non-governmental organization headquartered in Montreal, Canada, with its European center located in Geneva, Switzerland. IATA has 120 offices worldwide and represents 334 airlines, accounting for 83 percent of the total air traffic volume globally.
