The Department of Criminal Investigation continues to gather details about the robbery at a Russian party in Limassol. The police have started questioning witnesses.

Police spokesperson Christos Andreou stated that several statements have been received regarding the case. A special group has been formed to investigate the high-profile crime, and investigators have already been given appropriate instructions.

Crime investigation services have conducted inspections at the crime scene and gathered some evidence, which will be sent for forensic examination.

The police statement notes that the criminals seemingly had prior knowledge of the upcoming party. This information is being taken into account during the investigation.

According to the police representative, it is known that participants of the gathering spoke Russian. Unconfirmed reports suggest that gambling activities were organized at the party.

"This is the first time we have experienced such a crime of this nature with such brutality and the way it was carried out, and we are very concerned," said the police representative.

To recap, the robbery at a Russian party in Limassol occurred on Wednesday evening, around 9:30 p.m. Four armed men stormed into the building located in the deserted area of Agios Georgios Alamanos.

During the party, four men wearing hoods and armed with short-barreled firearms and a pistol entered the premises. The assailants fired shots into the air and forced the attendees to lie on the floor, after which they robbed them of all valuable items: jewelry, mobile phones, money, car keys, and watches. Around 30 participants of the gathering became victims of the robbery.
