Cypriot energy authorities have warned of scheduled power outages
The Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) has announced planned power outages in some areas of the island. Electricity disruptions are expected on Friday, April 26th, from 9:00 to 10:00.
It is reported that the power outage will affect the areas of Parekklisia Pyrgos, Prasteio Kellakiou, Kellaki, Eptagonia, Melini, Akapnou, Arakapas, Dierona, Sanida, Klavari, Vikla, Ora, Odu, Ayi Vavatsinias, Profitis Elias, and Sikopetra.
"Since there is no certainty that the power outage will last for a full hour, consumers should assume that electrical appliances are under voltage," the EAC statement said.
Authorities apologized for the inconvenience but stated that the outages are related to planned work on the high-voltage network.
