Main events:
20th International Documentary Festival (Limassol) — concludes this Saturday, August 8. Screenings include: “Welded Together” (18:30), “The Enigma” (20:30), and “Modern Architecture” (22:30). After the films — a party with DJ Harama. Tickets: €5 per film or €35 for a festival pass.
Beer Festival (Paphos) — August 7–10 at the square near the Medieval Castle. Free entrance, stands with local and imported beers, street food, live performances and DJs, plus a raffle for a trip to Oktoberfest.
24th Animation Festival “Views of the World” (Salamiou, Paphos) — August 8–10 in the village of Salamiou. Workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and audiovisual performances by young artists. Entry around €5 per night.
First Mahalepi Festival (Amiantos) — a new “delicious” festival celebrating the Cypriot dessert mahalepi. August 9–10 in Hadjiktori Park. Tastings, traditional dances, music by Stefanos Pelekanis and Areti Ketime, plus a local products fair.
Kato Amiantos Summer Music Festival — August 9–10 at the open-air theatre “Traki Dasous”. Saturday: music of Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Hadjidakis by Andria Demosthenous and Manolis Neophytou; Sunday: a jazz concert in tribute to Herbie Hancock. Contact: 99833944.
One Love Festival (Timi, Paphos) — reggae festival from August 8 to 10. Live shows, DJ sets, a crafts fair, and a children’s area.
Piano Evening — concert by Jared Willis with works by Erik Satie, Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter, and Arvo Pärt. August 9 at Liven Workshop, Kornos. €15 (drink included), reservation phone: 96‑834224.
Open-Air Cinema Marathon (Paphos) — screening of “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” (in English with Greek subtitles) at Attikon Arts Centre. The program runs Fridays until August 27, starting at 21:00.
46th Festival in Kyperounta — Sunday, August 10: dances and concerts featuring Constantinos Christoforou and Eleftheria Eleftheriou. Free entrance.
“Obstavka” Nature Gathering — a one-day event at Xyliatos Dam on Sunday, August 10, from 10:00 to 18:00. Tickets via soldoutticketbox.com.
