Wizz Air Flight to Larnaca Makes Emergency Landing in Warsaw: Pilot Lost Consciousness
A Wizz Air flight en route to Larnaca made an emergency landing in Warsaw after the pilot lost consciousness during the flight.
Local media reports that the incident occurred early Monday morning, around 7:00 AM. Flight W61451, heading to Larnaca, was forced to land urgently at Warsaw's Chopin Airport.
The aircraft had 225 people on board. Emergency services and medical teams were on hand to meet the plane upon its arrival in Warsaw. The landing was conducted smoothly, and no passengers were injured. The pilot who lost consciousness was taken to the hospital.
- "The Wizz Air flight from Warsaw to Larnaca had to return to Chopin Airport. The plane made a safe emergency landing with the help of airport services at around seven in the morning," said an airport spokesperson.
After some time, the aircraft continued to its destination and arrived in Larnaca at 2:45 PM. The delay was approximately 4 hours, as the flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Cyprus at 10:25 AM.
