The Limassol Marathon will take place this weekend: road closure schedule
The traditional Limassol Marathon will take place this weekend, on April 13th and 14th. Due to the running events in the city, roads will be closed.
The organizers of the sports event have announced the organization of road traffic on the days of the marathon.
On April 13th, during the races, which will last from 8:00 to 23:00, the coastal part of Limassol will be closed from the beginning of Anexartisias Street to the Crowne Plaza hotel.
During the main race day, April 14th, the coastal road will be closed to traffic from Asomatos to Ladies' Mile, up to the roundabout of the new port and Franklin Roosevelt Avenue. Also, the coastline up to the Elias Beach hotel.
The roads will be closed from 6:30 to 13:30.
Additionally, on Sunday from 6:30 to 9:30, the road starting from the exit of the Fasouri Waterpark to the Limassol Yacht Marina will be closed to traffic.
The Limassol Marathon is part of the European annual running series held in Limassol. It was first introduced in 2006. The event includes several races over two days, including the marathon distance.
