A BAROMETRIC LOW IS APPROACHING CYPRUS
According to the data from the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Friday, November 17th, the region is affected by weak low pressure. At the same time, a barometric minimum forming on the Balkans on Friday is moving southeastward and is expected to reach Cyprus by Saturday evening.
This morning, the weather will be variable, occasionally cloudy, with possible isolated showers. Winds will mostly blow from the northeast to southeast, ranging from weak to moderate.
According to the meteorological forecast, the temperature during the day will reach 26°C on the coast and up to 16°C in mountainous areas.
Tonight, variable cloudiness is expected, occasionally cloudy. Winds will be predominantly southwest and northwest. The air temperature will drop to around 14°C inland, about 15°C on the coasts, and down to 7°C in mountainous areas.
On Saturday, the weather will initially be cloudy, but in the second half of the day, it will gradually become overcast, with occasional showers, mainly in the western half of the island. In the evening, local rain and isolated storms are expected, accompanied by very strong to strong winds in this region. Significant temperature changes are not expected; it will remain above average climatic values.
