Another ship with migrants has arrived in Cyprus
Off the coast of Cyprus over the past weekend, another ship with illegal migrants was noticed. The arriving illegals were safely brought ashore.
According to local media reports, a boat with 22 migrants on board was spotted on the radar off the coast of Cape Greco at 13:00 on Sunday.
Maritime and port police personnel arrived at the scene.
They found two women, two children, and 18 men on the boat. All the migrants who arrived by sea were safely brought to Larnaca port for data collection.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Cyprus is "in a state of crisis" due to the increasing number of migrants arriving on the island. The President of the country, Nikos Christodoulides, has already appealed to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to intervene in the situation.
Last Saturday, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, discussed with the leadership of Lebanon cooperation between the two states in effectively managing immigration.
