On February 15th, showers and thunderstorms with hail are expected in Cyprus

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, February 15th, the region is affected by low pressure. Winter weather with showers and thunderstorms with hail continues in the country.

Today, in the first half of the day, variable cloudiness is expected, with rain and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Hail may fall during thunderstorms, and visibility may be temporarily limited. Wet snow is expected on the highest peaks of Troodos.

According to the meteorological forecast, during the day, the air temperature will reach up to 16°C in inland areas, up to 18°C on the coast, up to 18°C on other coasts, and down to 8°C in the mountains.

By the evening, variable cloudiness will persist, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected, mainly in coastal areas. Hail may also fall during thunderstorms. Later, in the morning hours in inland areas and the east, light mist or fog may form.

The air temperature will drop to approximately 6°C in inland areas, down to 10°C along the coast, and down to 1°C in mountainous areas, where local frosts are expected.

The temperature by Friday will gradually decrease slightly to approach the average climatic values, and on Saturday, it will increase slightly.

No significant changes are expected on Friday; however, on Saturday, the air temperature will slightly increase, and on Sunday, it will remain at the same level, slightly above the average climatic values.
