On February 8th, Cyprus is expected to have overcast weather and brief showers

According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, February 8th, the region will be under the influence of weak low pressure.

Today, in the first half of the day, the weather will be overcast, with occasional brief showers possible. Winds will be predominantly southeast and southwest, weak in strength.

According to the meteorological forecast, the daytime air temperature today will reach up to 19°C in the inland areas and on the coasts, and up to 11°C in the mountainous regions. By evening, increased cloudiness will persist, and rain is expected later, particularly in the west. In the morning hours, low clouds or even thin fog may form locally.

The air temperature will drop to approximately 5°C in the inland areas, 7°C on the southern and eastern coasts, 9°C on the western and northern coasts, and 3°C in the mountainous regions, where local frosts are possible.

It is also noted that the snow cover height in the Troodos Mountains at the time of the bulletin release was 6 cm.

The temperature will slightly decrease on Friday but will remain slightly above the average climatic values. No significant changes are expected on Saturday, and a slight increase is anticipated on Sunday.
