First Ballots Printed for European Parliament Elections in Cyprus
The Government Printing Office of the Republic of Cyprus has begun printing ballots for the European Parliament elections, scheduled for June 9, 2024. The list includes 63 candidates.
It is expected that the government printing office will produce a total of three and a half million ballots for the election of European Parliament deputies, regional governors, mayors, deputy mayors, municipal councilors, school directors, heads of local communities, and members of the public council.
The process of producing ballots for the European elections is expected to be completed by Monday, after which the printing office will start printing ballots for other electoral processes.
Production began after 61 candidates from 12 party coalitions and two self-nominees approved the printing and received an alphabetical order for appearing on the blue ballot paper, which is 70 cm wide.
The electoral ballots are printed on blue secure paper. Party coalitions are listed in alphabetical order: first independent parties, then coalition groups, and at the end of the list, self-nominated candidates.
