Cyprus Extends Deadline for Solar Water Heater Repair Applications
The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Cyprus has extended the deadline for homeowners affected by recent frost damage to report and repair their solar water heaters. Homeowners now have until May 14 to submit their applications.
According to the Cyprus News Agency, the decision came after numerous requests from the public and organizations struggling to complete repairs within the initial timeframe.
To speed up the process and avoid unnecessary delays, homeowners are strongly encouraged to proceed with repairs immediately rather than waiting for district authorities to conduct inspections.
Affected homeowners must fill out an official damage report form, available on the Ministry of the Interior's website and district government portals, and submit it to the relevant district office.
To qualify for compensation, applicants must provide proof of both the damage and the completed repairs, including photographs and paid invoices. They are also required to submit a signed declaration confirming the accuracy of their claim and stating that the damage is not covered by insurance.
The ministry urges homeowners to submit their applications as soon as possible to avoid any complications.
