International Conference on AI and Cybersecurity in Aviation to be Held in Cyprus
Cyprus is set to host an international conference on artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity in civil and military aviation. More than 90 experts from around the world will participate in the event.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Flight Safety Foundation in the Mediterranean and the European Association of Aviation Instructors, both of which are based in Cyprus. It is scheduled to take place on May 30th in Larnaca, with the support of the Ministries of Transport and Defense.
The forum will feature speakers from international and European organizations, as well as representatives from the United States, Asia, and the Middle East.
Minister of Transport of the Republic, Alexis Vafeades, will deliver a presentation on behalf of the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Andreas Lukas, will speak on behalf of Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas.
Speakers are expected to discuss the advantages and challenges of AI and propose ways to utilize it while reducing risks. They will also explore potential partnerships between relevant international organizations and states.
