Earthquake in Cyprus: Paphos Residents Feel Underground Tremors
An earthquake was recorded in the Paphos area on Tuesday, May 14th, with citizens reporting seismic activity felt in the region.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake was registered at 13:18 local time, measuring 3 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was reportedly located 17 kilometers from Geroskipou at a depth of approximately 6.9 kilometers.
The underground tremors were felt in the vicinity of Geroskipou and the surrounding areas of Paphos. Reports suggest that the earthquake was noticeable, causing concern among the local population.
