It is reported that the fire stations of Evryou and Lakatamia helped rescue the young man, who fell from a steep slope near a reservoir under unknown circumstances.
According to a representative of the fire service, the accident occurred on Monday in a remote area near the Lefka checkpoint. The incident site was only accessible by helicopter. Eventually, the soldier who fell from the cliff was rescued by the crew of the Emak helicopter.
After the injured soldier was lifted up, he was transported to Nicosia General Hospital by ambulance.
It is known that the man's fall was interrupted twice, allowing him to survive with only a broken arm.
