Cyprus Hunting Season for Native Game Set to Begin
The hunting season for native game in Cyprus is set to begin this Sunday, and hunters are reminded to follow all safety protocols and regulations.
In a statement, the Cyprus Federation of Hunting and Wildlife Conservation called on all hunters to prioritize safety, fully comply with hunting laws, and use the official hunting map.
Hunting will be permitted every Sunday and Wednesday until December 22, as well as on Friday, December 27, and Sunday, December 29. Daily hunting for all species, except hares, partridges, and pheasants, will also be allowed until December 29.
Hunting is strictly prohibited on Christmas Day, December 25.
The federation’s statement also highlights the importance of responsible hunting practices, such as respecting private property, abiding by hunting restrictions, and staying within catch limits. Hunters are also encouraged to use the ARTEMIS CY app for tracking and compliance.
"The hunting season offers an opportunity to enjoy nature while making an active contribution to preserving our natural environment," the federation noted in its statement.
