Multinational Military Exercises Conclude in Cyprus
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that from September 12 to 18, the multinational aviation exercises titled "Eunomia 5 – 2024" were successfully conducted in the southwest of the island. The exercises involved the participation of Cyprus, Greece, France, and Italy.
Personnel from the Cyprus National Guard, along with the armed forces of Greece, France, and Italy, took part in the drills. The exercises covered a wide range of operations, including maritime interdiction, air defense, surface and anti-submarine warfare, countering asymmetric threats, search and rescue operations, civilian evacuation, and cyber warfare training.
The primary objective of these exercises was to strengthen and enhance the interoperability and cooperation between the armed forces of the four nations. Additionally, the exercises aimed to bolster their collective naval and air presence in the Eastern Mediterranean, ensuring security and stability across the wider region.
