Elderly Woman Drowns at Limassol Beach
A tragic incident unfolded on Friday at a Limassol beach. An elderly woman was found drowned near the Dasoudi area.
According to preliminary reports, the woman's body was discovered about 20 meters from the shore by other beachgoers. She was wearing regular clothing rather than swimwear. After being pulled ashore unconscious, paramedics arrived at the scene and sadly pronounced her dead.
Police officers also attended the scene. The woman’s body was taken to Limassol General Hospital.
An initial examination revealed no external injuries or signs of foul play.
