Weak high pressure is affecting the region: weather in Cyprus on January 18th
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, January 18th, the region is beginning to be influenced by weak high pressure.
Today, in the first half of the day, after local thin fog and low clouds disperse, variable cloudiness is expected, and in the second half of the day, cloudiness will increase, with possible brief rain, mainly in the mountains and inland.
According to the meteorological forecast, the daytime air temperature will reach up to 20°C in the inland areas and on the coast, and up to 9°C in the mountainous regions.
By evening and night, increased cloudiness is expected, which is likely to lead to rain on the southern coast and later mainly in the eastern half of the island; thin fog will form.
The air temperature will drop to approximately 8°C in the inland areas, 10°C on the coasts, and 2°C in the mountainous regions, where local frost is expected. Over the next three days, the temperature will not change significantly and will fluctuate above average climatic values.
