Limassol Carnival Postponed Due to Funeral of Family Killed in Fire
The Municipality of Limassol has announced the postponement of all scheduled events for the Limassol Carnival, originally set for Saturday, February 22.
In a statement, the municipality explained that the events were delayed "in respect of the funerals and to honor the tragic loss of a five-member family."

To recap, a heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Limassol last Saturday. A fire in a residential building in Agios Nikolaos claimed the lives of five people — a couple and their three children.
On Monday, local residents urged the authorities to either postpone or cancel the carnival as a sign of respect and mourning.
