A ranking of cities in Cyprus by the standard of living has been published

The international internet platform for comparing prices, Numbeo, has compiled a ranking of the most expensive cities in Cyprus. Limassol continues to occupy the first place in terms of rental prices and cost of living.

According to the data provided by the compilers of the ranking, to maintain a decent standard of living in Limassol, a family of four will need €3,145 per month, excluding rent. This is 9.1% more than in Nicosia. Including rent, this amount rises to €4,792.

The average cost of renting a one-bedroom apartment is around €1,500 per month, while a three-bedroom apartment will cost €2,500. This is 126.2% more than in Nicosia.

At the same time, the salary level in Limassol remains the highest on the island, with the average net income after deductions being €1,802.

In Nicosia, a family of four will need €2,905 per month, excluding rent, and €3,514 with rent included.

A one-bedroom apartment in the capital averages €630, while a three-bedroom apartment costs around €1,180 per month.

The average salary in Nicosia is €1,410 per month.

In Larnaca, a family of four can live comfortably on €3,112 (9.5% more than in Nicosia). Including rent, this amount reaches €4,065.

Renting a one-bedroom apartment in Larnaca costs on average €950, while accommodation with three bedrooms will cost approximately €1,240 per month. Rental prices in Larnaca are on average 35.8% higher than in Nicosia.

The average net salary of a resident of Larnaca after taxes is €1,378.

In Paphos, a family of four needs €2,938 per month for a comfortable life (2.1% higher than in Nicosia).

You can rent a one-bedroom apartment in Paphos for €850. A three-bedroom apartment will cost €1,600 per month. Rental prices in Paphos are 33.7% higher than in the capital.

The average salary in Paphos is €1,878 per month.

Paralimni is named as the most affordable region in Cyprus for living. You can rent a one-bedroom apartment on the east coast of Cyprus for €400 per month and a three-bedroom one for €800 per month.

Residents of Paralimni earn an average of €1,200 per month.
