Easter Allowance in Cyprus to Increase by 60 Euros
The Easter allowance for low-income pensioners will increase to 250 euros. This support measure will affect nearly 14,000 financially disadvantaged citizens.
As stated by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, after the cabinet meeting, the allowance will increase from 190 to 250 euros.
According to the head of state, this decision was made in connection with measures to combat rising prices.
The President also announced that he has convened a cabinet meeting for next Monday, calling on each minister to present an overview of the main problems and measures they are taking.
"I want you to be well prepared for your presentation. The meeting will take place in the afternoon so that everyone has time to speak. Those of you who will be away must send the necessary materials," said the head of state.
