Easter "Gifts of Love" Delivered to Needy Families in Limassol
Ahead of the Easter holiday, the Social Supermarket of the Municipality of Limassol began delivering Easter "gifts of love" to those in need. Assistance will be provided to approximately 450 families.
On Tuesday morning, the mayor of Limassol, Nikos Nicolaides, visited the social supermarket.
"Limassol is a city with philanthropic sentiments, which is evident every time support is needed. We all must support those who require assistance," stated the mayor.
The mayor thanked the members of the municipal social welfare committee, the companies that responded to the call for donations, as well as the volunteers of the social supermarket.
Furthermore, the head of the social welfare committee, Athena Spirou, stated, "As long as there is a need, the Municipality of Limassol and the social welfare committee will assist people until there is no one left in need of help."
