Cyprus Police Warns Drivers of Increased Traffic After Lunch
After noon, increased traffic is expected on roads in Cyprus due to holidaymakers returning after Kataklysmos.
According to the press service of the Police Headquarters, traffic congestion is anticipated in urban centers during Monday afternoon as holidaymakers return.
Police urge drivers to be particularly vigilant, obey traffic rules and signs, and follow instructions from police officers on duty.
Earlier reports indicated that safety measures were taken on Cyprus to prevent road accidents, including increased police presence on highways and intercity roads.
As part of these measures, enhanced police checks for traffic violations will also be conducted, with particular attention to speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
According to the police, traffic flow on main roads is currently normal.
