Paphos Police Arrest Suspect in Police Car Arson
A suspect in the arson of a police car has been arrested in Paphos. The police managed to trace the perpetrator and apprehend him.
According to the police press service, a 43-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of committing arson on a vehicle belonging to a police officer. No further details about the suspect are provided.
Recall that the incident in question occurred last Sunday. Around 21:45, emergency services received information about a car on fire in Chloraka. Firefighters who arrived at the scene extinguished the vehicle, which belonged to a member of ADE Paphos and was parked near his home. The vehicle suffered significant damage.
During the inspection at the scene, a container with flammable substance was discovered.
