Police Investigate Suspected Arson in Limassol
Another car was set on fire in Limassol last night, and police suspect arson.
According to local reports, the fire department was alerted around 2:30 AM after a vehicle parked near a residential building in Mesa Geitonia caught fire. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to extinguish the flames, but the car was severely damaged.
The scene remains cordoned off as police and fire officials launched an investigation this morning. Early findings suggest that the fire was deliberately set.
Car fires have become a regular occurrence in Cyprus, with vehicles torched almost every night. Just last weekend, several cars were set ablaze in Larnaca.
