Since the start of the year, Paphos has emerged as the top tourist destination for Polish travelers. Amid a decline in tourist arrivals from Israel due to the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict, the resort authorities have turned their focus to attracting visitors from Poland.

The Polish market has become a key priority: in recent years, the number of Polish tourists arriving in Paphos, particularly thanks to Ryanair flights, has seen a significant increase.

Air traffic between Paphos and Poland is now the busiest it’s been in the past 30 years. In 2025, up to 20 flights per week will operate between six major Polish airports and Cyprus, with Ryanair dominating the market. Official data shows that about 49% of Poles arriving in Cyprus choose to stay in Paphos.

Based on this new trend, Paphos-based travel agencies are working to lay the groundwork for further expanding tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Tourism authorities in the region, with support from the Deputy Minister of Tourism, are taking steps to inform travel agents about promoting Paphos as a year-round destination.
