Maria Charalambous, Deputy Director of the Cyprus Police Cooperation Unit and Senior Officer, has been elected as Vice President of Europol following a vote at the 140th meeting of the organization’s Board of Directors.
The vote took place last week in Budapest, where Mr. Ireneusz Sienko from Poland was unanimously chosen as the Board’s Chairman for the next 18 months.
Additionally, the meeting included a vote to appoint the chairs of two key working groups: one focused on corporate affairs and the other on information management.
