Israeli President to Make an Unplanned Visit to Cyprus
Israeli President Isaac Herzog will be making an unscheduled visit to Cyprus. He is expected to arrive on the island on Thursday, January 9.
According to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), citing sources, Herzog’s visit is linked to "trilateral intergovernmental talks between Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt in Cairo," as well as regional events, particularly those in Syria.
Earlier, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, traveled to Cairo to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. This was followed by a trilateral meeting involving Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
