President of Cyprus Hosts Dinner in Honor of European Commission President
President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Christodoulides, arrived in Cyprus the day before in the afternoon from Bucharest along with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, with whom they participated in the plenary session of the 27th session of the European People's Party. In the evening after their arrival, the Cypriot leader hosted a private dinner in honor of the President of the European Commission at the Presidential Palace.
Also present at the dinner were representatives from the government, Konstantinos Petrides, and the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna.
Among the topics discussed during the dinner were the maritime corridor for delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and today's visit for this purpose to the port of Larnaca, as well as the current situation in the Cyprus issue and immigration problems.
Before the dinner, Nicos Christodoulides gave Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen a tour of the gardens of the Presidential Palace.
