Russian Woman Killed in ATV Accident in Cyprus
A 49-year-old Russian citizen was killed in an ATV accident in Cyprus. Another woman, aged 60, was also injured in the crash.
According to the police press service, the accident occurred on Sunday, June 16, around noon. The 49-year-old Russian woman, who was a permanent resident of Cyprus, was riding a rented ATV in the countryside near the village of Peyia. At some point, she lost control while making a right turn, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and plunge into a one-meter-deep ravine.
The woman driving the ATV died at the scene. The 60-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to Paphos General Hospital. It is known that both women were wearing protective helmets at the time of the accident. Police are investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.
