Over 700 kg of Drugs Seized in Cyprus Since the Start of the Year
The Cyprus Police have released figures on drug seizures in the country for 2024. Between January 1 and November 30, over 700 kilograms of illegal substances have been confiscated on the island.

According to the police, as of November 30, 2024, a total of 1,008 drug-related cases have been investigated, involving 1,065 individuals.
The seized drugs include:
- 625 kilograms of cannabis,
- 54 kilograms of cocaine, and
- approximately 700 MDMA tablets.
"The specific quantities of drugs seized as of November 20, 2024, serve as strong evidence of the police’s ongoing commitment to reducing the amount of illegal drugs on the market, as well as their efforts to arrest and prosecute drug dealers and traffickers," stated the police.
The police also emphasized that tackling the illegal drug trade continues to be a top priority.
