Serious traffic accident on the road from Kalo Chorio to Larnaca Airport — both lanes closed
On Thursday, August 28, 2025, at approximately 11:15 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the highway heading to Larnaca Airport. The incident took place near the Rizoelias viaduct and the village of Kalo Chorio. As a result of the accident, traffic was completely blocked in both directions.
It is reported that the flow of vehicles is now being redirected via the exit to Aradippou, causing congestion and slowing down traffic in the area.
The police urged all drivers to exercise extra caution: reduce speed, maintain a safe distance, and stay alert behind the wheel. These measures are especially important under temporary restrictions and altered traffic conditions.
