The biker who was the victim of an attempted murder in Cyprus has died in the hospital
A man who was the target of an attack on April 23rd has passed away in a hospital in Cyprus. The case has been reclassified to a more severe charge of "intentional homicide."
According to local media reports, the victim of the attack, 34-year-old Demetris Andronikou, passed away yesterday afternoon in the intensive care unit of Nicosia General Hospital.
Recall that the attempted murder of Demetris Andronikou, also known as Demetruis, occurred on April 23rd on the Antipoli - Palechori road, near Lakatamia. At the time of the attack, the injured man was riding a motorcycle after visiting the central prisons. The assailant, who was also riding a motorcycle, shot the biker three times.
The victim sustained a neck injury and was hospitalized for a long time. Doctors fought for his life.
On May 16th, 24 days after the attack, the victim regained consciousness, and his health significantly improved. However, ultimately, he could not be saved.
Currently, the police are investigating the case as intentional homicide.
Earlier, it was reported that the police had detained 10 suspects in connection with this case.
