A Tel Aviv to Larnaca flight operated by Arkia Airlines had to make an emergency landing after a crack appeared in the cockpit windshield during the flight.

According to local media reports, the incident occurred shortly after the plane departed from Ben Gurion International Airport. Upon discovering the crack, the pilots promptly decided to return to the airport.

"Arkia's crew responded with the highest level of safety, efficiency, and urgency to ensure that passengers' travel plans were minimally affected," the airline said in a statement.

There was no danger to the lives of the passengers or crew. Upon returning to the airport, passengers were transferred to another aircraft, and the flight resumed without further issues. The exact cause of the windshield crack has not yet been disclosed.
