CYPRUS AMBULANCE HAS A RESCUE MOTORCYCLE
The State Health Organization of the Republic of Cyprus (OKYpY) received a rapid response rescue motorcycle. The new vehicle significantly reduces the time it takes for emergency services to respond to an emergency.
The motorcycle was handed over at a ceremony organized by Fameline Holding Group at its headquarters in Limassol.
According to OKYpY, the motorcycle will go to the scene as soon as an emergency call is received, followed by an ambulance. In cases where immediate intervention is required, such as in the event of an accident, standard medical equipment will be used until ambulances with paramedics and rescuers arrive on the scene.
The head of the Ambulance Service, Riana Constantinou, noted that the new motorcycle will reduce the time it takes for doctors to arrive at the scene of an accident. Its crew will help the victims until the ambulance arrives.
