According to local media reports, on Sunday, November 26, there was a natural disaster on the island. Wind gusts reached 25 m/s.
Strong winds, combined with heavy rains witnessed by Cyprus residents, caused significant damage to both organizations and households.
It is noted that due to the strong wind, trees fell, roofs were torn off some houses, water tanks were damaged, and in some regions, power outages occurred.
Emergency response teams responded to a total of 14 calls for assistance.
At Paphos and Larnaca airports, some flights landed with delays of 2-3 hours.
