Cypriots Consumed Nearly 43 Million Liters of Beer in 2024

According to data published by the Statistical Service, the total volume of beer imported to Cyprus in 2024 reached 42,900,114 liters, representing a 1.8% increase compared to the previous year when just over 42 million liters were imported.

The figures also show a significant 8.9% rise in beer exports, reaching 2,547,024 liters. In comparison, 2023 saw exports of 2,444,377 liters.

However, beer deliveries to the domestic market saw a modest increase of 1.1%, amounting to 39,691,988 liters.

It’s also worth noting that last May, the exceptionally hot weather on the island led to an increase in beer consumption. Thanks to the surge in domestic demand, beer consumption grew by an impressive 9.4%.

Yet, as summer turned to fall, the trend reversed. In August, the total beer supply on the island was 4.93 million liters.
