Man Arrested with Suitcase of Drugs at Larnaca Airport
A 30-year-old man was arrested at Larnaca Airport with a suitcase containing 15.6 kilograms of cannabis. According to the police press service, the suspicious man was discovered upon his arrival at Larnaca Airport on Saturday afternoon.
The operation to apprehend the alleged drug courier was conducted by customs authorities in collaboration with the narcotics division.
Inside the detained man's suitcase, drugs were found packaged in two parcels. The illicit substances were seized as physical evidence, and the detained individual was held for questioning.
On Sunday, the court ordered him to be remanded in custody for eight days.
