In Ayia Napa, two teenagers on a motorcycle crashed; one of them is in critical condition
As a result of a major road accident in Ayia Napa, two young people were seriously injured. A 17-year-old teenager is in critical condition, and doctors are fighting for his life.
According to the police press service, the accident occurred yesterday evening, around 22:30 on Cabo Greco Avenue in Ayia Napa. Two young men were riding a motorcycle driven by an 18-year-old teenager. The driver lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn. Both young men sustained serious injuries.
The 18-year-old boy was taken to a private clinic in the Famagusta province. Doctors diagnosed him with rib fractures and abrasions on various parts of his body. His treatment is ongoing.
The 17-year-old motorcycle passenger was taken to the Famagusta general hospital, where it was found that he had suffered a skull-brain injury. Due to his critical condition, he was transferred to the Nicosia general hospital. His condition is assessed as extremely serious by attending physicians.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Ayia Napa police.
