Winter Workshops Kick Off in Ayia Napa
The municipality of Ayia Napa has launched a winter program offering visitors a chance to experience the region's rich traditions, customs, and folk culture. Running from January through March, the program features a series of cultural and educational events designed to engage and delight participants.

The first event, a pumpkin cultivation workshop led by Christella Pittilli, will take place on Friday, January 24, at the Farmer’s House (Agrospito). Following the workshop, attendees can participate in a painting session.
On February 7, Loukia Savva will host a hands-on cooking and tasting session featuring halloumi and trahanas. A chair-weaving demonstration will be held on Valentine’s Day at the Apostle Paul School, and a sweet-making workshop with Maria Nicola is scheduled for February 21.
The program continues with traditional cup-making on February 28, basket weaving on March 14, pottery demonstrations on March 21, and a cooking and tasting session showcasing traditional Cypriot dishes, prepared by local homemakers, on March 28.
Two excursions are also planned: On January 31, participants can visit the CyHerbia Botanical Park and Labyrinth, and on March 7, there will be a trip to the Antelia Bee Park in Achna.
All workshops, tastings, and excursions are organized by the Ayia Napa Municipality. Events begin at 10:00 AM and typically last around two hours.
