According to Andreas Kettis, a representative of the fire department, four fire trucks from Nicosia fire stations were dispatched to the scene to combat the flames. Rescuers pumped water from a nearby tanker and used equipment to protect themselves from smoke.
All paint coatings in the main repair shop areas were damaged by smoke and soot.
Fire investigators will determine the cause of the fire.
It is also noted that in the last 24 hours, the fire services responded to 42 incidents, including 33 fires and nine emergency calls for other reasons.
