Four Injured in Drunk Driving Accidents in Paphos and Larnaca
Two head-on collisions caused by drunk driving in Paphos and Larnaca have left four people injured. Over the past three days, the police have received 74 reports of incidents involving drunk driving.
According to the police, both accidents in the districts of Paphos and Larnaca were the result of drivers under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol tests conducted at the scene confirmed the drivers were intoxicated.
In Paphos, the collision resulted in injuries to three individuals, who are now being treated at the general hospital. Meanwhile, in the Larnaca accident, the driver of one vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Separately, on the evening of January 5, at around 8:00 PM in Larnaca, police stopped a car traveling at 152 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. A breathalyzer test revealed that the driver was heavily intoxicated. The man was immediately arrested and is scheduled to appear in court today.
