Arrest of Two Illegal Foreign Workers in Famagusta
In Famagusta, police have arrested two illegal workers. Citizens of a third country were residing in the republic without residence permits.
According to the police press service, two men aged 33 and 35 were detained as a result of coordinated efforts to combat illegal employment at a building under reconstruction in the Famagusta area.
During the operation conducted jointly by the police and officials from the Ministry of Labour, 50 individuals were inspected, among whom two were found to be undocumented workers.
Police reported that the Labour Inspection also issued notifications for administrative fines for violations related to undeclared work and pension fund irregularities.
