Approximately seven thousand people will participate in the carnival in Paphos
The carnival in Paphos will begin on Thursday, March 7th. The grand parade will take place on Saturday, March 16th. This year, about seven thousand people will participate in the carnival festivities.
The theme of the celebration this year will be Ancient Egypt and its pharaohs. More than 50 festive platforms will be organized as part of the carnival in Paphos.
The official events will start on March 7th at 11:00. At 17:00, the carnival king will enter the city accompanied by his retinue. After the parade, there will be a concert by the Kings band and Greek singer Panos Kalidis.
The grand parade will start on March 16th at 15:30. The festive procession will begin on Griva Digeni Avenue and end on Evagora Pallikaridi Avenue.
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that festive events as part of the carnival in Limassol will take place from March 7th to 17th. Traditionally, it will conclude with the Grand Parade along Makarios Avenue.
