Over 120 Kilograms of Drugs Seized in Larnaca
Police in Larnaca have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a massive drug bust involving over 120 kilograms of illegal substances delivered via a transport company.
According to the police, the delivery took place the previous evening when five packages were dropped off at a designated address in Larnaca. Two men—one a 32-year-old foreign national and the other an unidentified foreigner—arrived at the location to collect the shipment. After the delivery company placed the packages on the ground, the pair began loading them into a vehicle.
At that moment, police officers, who had received prior intelligence suggesting the packages might contain drugs, arrived on the scene. One of the suspects managed to flee, while the 32-year-old was arrested on the spot.
A search of the packages revealed a large quantity of drugs: 96 vacuum-sealed bags containing a total of 105 kilograms of cannabis, and 15 packages of cocaine weighing 16.5 kilograms.
The arrested man was taken into custody and remains detained. Police also searched his home, but no additional illegal substances were found.
