Christmas Tree Lit Up in Larnaca
The municipal Christmas tree on Europe Square in Larnaca has officially been lit, marking the beginning of the holiday season.
Mayor Andreas Vyras turned on the lights of the Christmas tree. Speaking before the lighting ceremony, he described the decorations on the Christmas tree not only as festive but also containing powerful symbolism.
"Against the gray colors of time, against the darkness of fear and uncertainty, we choose light. We want to create a festive atmosphere in our city for all its residents," said the mayor.
Recall that earlier, the main symbols of Christmas and New Year were lit in Limassol and Nicosia.
