A section of the fourth-floor balcony of a multi-story residential building in Limassol collapsed, falling onto two parked cars.

According to emergency services, the incident occurred on the evening of December 5, around 10:00 PM, in the Agios Antonios area. Firefighters and police responded quickly to the scene.

Initial reports suggest that the collapse involved a section of the balcony's parapet breaking off, rather than the entire balcony falling.

Miraculously, no one was injured. According to the police, the collapsed section caused significant damage to the two parked cars.

It is worth noting that in 2019 and 2021, the municipality sent two letters to the building’s management committee, informing them that while the building was not considered dangerous, repairs were needed.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
