Another Food Delivery Courier Robbed in Limassol
Another food delivery courier has fallen victim to a robbery in Limassol. A 20-year-old courier was assaulted, and his electric bicycle and cash were stolen.
According to the police, the incident occurred late on the night of March 31. The victim reported that he was riding his e-bike through a neighborhood in the city when two men on a motorcycle signaled for him to stop.
When he ignored them, the attackers chased him down and knocked him off his bike. The courier managed to run into a nearby bakery, calling for help. Moments later, he saw about ten more individuals arrive at the scene, armed with clubs and knives.
The thieves made off with his €2,500 electric bike, a bag of cash, and his mobile phone.
In recent months, Cyprus—particularly Limassol—has seen a rise in attacks targeting food delivery couriers. Authorities suspect that some of these crimes may be racially motivated.
